All the Lessons of the Day
Published on: August 03, 2026
The Lessons of the Day are the heart of MontessoriMom — a growing collection of hands-on lessons you can bring to your child today, using materials you either already own or can put together at the kitchen table. This page gathers every one of them in one place.
The earliest lessons are full lesson days: practical life, language, math, science, art, and cooking all woven into a single afternoon. From Lesson 18 onward, each lesson looks closely at one Montessori material or idea — the Pink Tower, the Moveable Alphabet, the Golden Beads — with a step-by-step presentation, the language to use as you give it, and ways to extend the work once your child has it.
Start anywhere. The numbers record the order the lessons were written in, not an order your child has to follow. Browse for a material you already have on the shelf, or simply pick one that sounds like a good morning.
