Pumpkins Inside and Out

 

The hard outer layer of a pumpkin keeps the seeds and soft fruit safe. The soft fruit is meant to be eaten after the pumpkin ripens. Save some of your pumpkin seeds and plant next growing season to see how a pumpkin grows. Sprout some of the seeds on a wet paper towel in a jar to see how a pumpkin begins to grow.
